Gingerbread People Cooking
As part of Little Chicks learning on traditional stories they made Gingerbread people.
Mix together flour, salt, bicarbonate soda, ginger and cinnamon into a large bowl. Then add butter, sugar and syrup.
Knead into a dough and place in fridge for 30 minutes.

Sound Investigation
On Thursday we planned an investigation to see how far sound can travel. We used yogurt pots and string to create a 'telephone' and then predicted what might happen to the sound when we changed a variable in our investigation.

This week we have been exploring our sense of taste through trying different foods. We have explored salty, sweet, spicy, bitter and sour foods and discussed our preferences. Some foods made our taste buds 'calm' and some made them 'tingly'!

Our butterflies are released!
This week we got to say a happy 'hello' and a sad 'goodbye' as our amazing painted lady butterflies were released. The children were captivated watching them fly off onto their exciting new adventure. We are hoping to see them around our outdoor area over the next few weeks.

Butterflies The Painted Lady
The Life cycle of the Caterpillar was complete and today Little Chicks and Ducklings set them free into their habitat with hope that they will stay in the local area as it a flowered environment. The children were amazed at the life cycle and have been observing throughout the process.
