We have been learning about our five senses this week. Today we used our sense of taste to explore different tastes, such as sweet, sour, bitter and salty.
We talked about how something that tastes nice to one person, might not taste nice to another. We all have different likes and dislikes.
It has been fun reading the labels and labelling the different parts of the body with our friends.
Today we have enjoyed learning about how animals adapt to their surroundings. Ask your child to show you the "rapping" camel on youtube!
To get ready for coming back to school on Thursday 6th September and to link in with our topic; Sparks Might Fly, I would like you to look around your house and make a list of any appliances, such as kettle, hairdryer etc, which need electricity to work.

In Herons this week, we were learning about mini-beasts and their habitats, We went on a hunt to see what we could find and where we could find them!!

Herons really enjoyed their visit to Blackpool Zoo last week. They went to see many different types of animals to look at their features and habitats.

This week has been British Science Week. In Kestrels' class we have been Archaeologists. We have been dissecting 'Prehistoric Poo' to find out what humans and animals from different periods in history ate.
