Today we counted how many hands or feet long our talking partners were. We tried to estimate first and then checked by counting.

Traffic surveys
The Ducklings have been watching the traffic passing by our school and recording what they found on tally charts. They recorded the colour of the vehicles or the different types of vehicle.

The Journey Home From Grandpa's

Understanding the World Pancake day
All aboard the reading train!
The Ducklings and Miss Kerrane have been busy creating a train for the reading area this week. It has certainly proved very popular and has encouraged the children to enjoy reading books of different kinds!

Transport PE
The lovely weather has meant we were able to do PE outside again this week. We explored moving like different vehicles and used the colours of traffic lights to tell us when to stop, go, slow down or speed up!

Investigating Distance travelled
The Ducklings have been investigating sending vehicles down ramps to see which vehicle can travel the furthest distance. They then came up with the idea of checking by measuring. They were able to describe what effect changing the steepness of the ramps made or the type of vehicle that they used.
