Phoneme Hopscotch
We have been assessing which sounds that we have learnt that the children can recall. We made it into a fun outdoor game so they could practise their hopping and jumping skills at the same time too!

Autumn Welly Walks
The children enjoyed going on walks around the school grounds to look for signs of Autumn. We found acorns, berries, fir cones, beautiful coloured leaves and even three squirrels collecting acorns.

Size Order
The Ducklings have been sorting the vegetables in order of their size and then using comparative vocabulary to describe them.

Measuring maths
We are looking at ordering objects according to their size this week and finding different ways to compare and measure size.
Today we measured the length of a friend using our hands, feet and other classroom objects.

Autumn Printing
The Ducklings have been using vegetables to print Autumn colours onto a tree. They have talked about the colours that mixing the different paints has made.

Letter formation
The Ducklings love practising writing the letters that we are learning in phonics each day. Ask them to sing the Jolly Phonics songs for each of the letters we have learnt so far.
