Creating our own patterns
In Maths this week the children are learning all about repeating patterns. We are looking at a 'unit' of a pattern and then continuing that unit. The children will also be noticing errors in patterns and identifying patterns all around us.

Comparing length, weight and capacity
In maths the Ducklings have been comparing the length, size, weight and capacity of different objects and using some of the comparative vocabulary to order them. They have been using vocabulary such as longest, shorter, heavier, lightest, full, empty and so on.

In P.E this week we have been practising our hopping skills in a range of ways. Each station is set up to enhance a particular skill and our hopping is already improving, as is our skill of jumping for distance.

The Ducklings have been learning all about the sense of sight. In the creative area they have been making binoculars and then going off to explore what they can see through them!
