Police visit
Today we had a visit from Police Sergeant McClaren and PCSO Gradwell to tell us about their roles in the community and learn about how they help us. The children were extremely excited to look at and handle handcuffs and even got to sit in the cage in the back of the police van.

Balancing and landing in P.E
In P.E this week we have been thinking about what we need to do to balance carefully. The children have also been practising their super skill of jumping and landing safely onto a mat. Well done to Beatrice and Alfie O for being awarded P.E superstars this week.

A visit from the Fire Brigade
The children had the most amazing morning with the Fire Brigade who very kindly gave up their time to teach the children all about their job, about the tools they use and how the engine works. The children got to use a fire hose and sit inside the engine. We definitely have some budding fire…

Remembrance Day

Sorting 3D shapes
In Maths this week we are going crazy about 3D shapes. The children have been sorting shapes into shoe groups, thinking about properties and learning lots of new vocabulary. There are lots of shapes challenges around the classroom to keep us busy!

Thinking about Autumn

This week in Maths we are ordering Autumn objects according to their size. The children will be using mathematical vocabulary such as smallest, biggest, tallest, shortest and longest.

Mental Health Awereness Day in Ducklings
Today we have been talking about all of the ways we can keep our minds and bodies healthy. The children thought of the most amazing ideas. We then relaxed together by practising some yoga techniques. See if your child can show you!

Counting out amounts
As we are focusing on counting in Maths, the children have been working with their talking partners to count out given amounts. The children have been practising the skill of checking their answers and using one to one correspondence to count slowly.
