Team games
In PE, the Ducklings were playing team games. They had to try and defend and not let others get through without being tagged. The attackers had to learn to dodge and try and change direction quickly.

A visit to where the wild things are!
Today, after reading the story, 'Where the Wild Things are,' we went on our own adventure to the 'forest' near school.
Just like in the story, we had our own 'wild rumpus.' We had great fun singing, dancing, making music, exploring, pretending, climbing, balancing, swinging and rolling!!

Pancake Races

Making pancakes
Making pancakes for Shrove Tuesday was fun and we got to learn about the changes that happen when you mix different ingredients together and cook them.
The best bit was definitely eating them though!

Rolling, rolling, rolling!
The Ducklings have been practising all of the different kinds of rolls that they know - pencil roll, rock and roll, teddy bear roll, barrel roll and egg roll. They have have also been taught how to do a forward roll correctly and safely this week.

Little Red Riding Hood
After reading the story of Little Red Riding Hood, the Ducklings enjoyed making playdough cakes for grandma, weaving baskets, making their own baskets to take to grandma and testing them out to see how much they could carry and writing a list of what they would take to give to her.

Comparing length
With our talking partners, we drew around our feet and compared the length of each foot. We used comparative vocabulary to describe them, such as longer and shorter, longest and shortest.
We also compared the length or height of different objects in the classroom together.
