Solving problems by adding more
In maths, this week, the Ducklings have been solving problems by adding more. They helped Danny Duck to set up for a coronation party, but there were not enough items. They used a range of strategies incuding counting on, subitising and their knowledge of numberbonds to help them.

The Ducklings have been exploring with vehicles out in the sunshine today. They have been finding out what happens when vehicles travel down a ramp with different surfaces and they have been printing with the different vehicle wheels to see what effects they create.

Today we were very lucky as Scarlett brought in some very old and precious newspaper supplements about the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. We were able to use these sources of information to talk about the upcoming coronation and to compare and contrast how things have changed. Thank you so much…
