Coronation

Today we were very lucky as Scarlett brought in some very old and precious newspaper supplements about the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. We were able to use these sources of information to talk about the upcoming coronation and to compare and contrast how things have changed. Thank you so much for bringing these in.

We have also been finding out more about the different crowns that King Charles will wear and how heavy the coronation crown actually is. We found some items that weigh the same to help us to imagine how heavy the crown will feel! We all agreed it would feel very heavy and uncomfortable!
