Human weighing skills
Today we were choosing objects from around the classroom to weigh and we were taking turns to be the 'scales'. The children loved trying to balance the scales and recognised that their arms moved down with heavier objects.

Josh loves spending time each day after phonics looking for the new phoneme in his lovely books at home. Today he found lots of words with ow in inside The Smartest Giant in Town! Josh typed up the ow words on his computer! Great work Josh!

Dinosaurs
Little Chicks have been researching Dinosaurs, they discovered that the Brachiosaurus was 30metres long.
To put that to scale Little Chicks went out to the garden and measured out 30metres.
They were surprised to find that it was the whole length of the garden.

This week in PSED the Ducklings have been talking about the ways in which they are all different. They have made posters all about themselves and what makes them special!

Physical development
Little Chicks practised their Gross motor skills they were asked to go through the cones, over the gym stool, under the gym stool, balance on the beam and go through the cones. Little Chicks could do this with skill and landed appropriately when jumping off objects.

Jimmy has been keeping up with his PE at home by practising his kangaroo jumps, jumping from two feet and landing on two feet.
