Maths in Parrots
This week we have been learning about 2-D shapes and their properties. Today, we went outside and created pictures with chalk, only using shapes!

North Pole
Little Chicks used the Atlas to find the North Pole. We used the index to find the find the correct page. We looked at where the children have sent letters to Santa Little Chicks shared the Altas to look at the different climates around the world.

Counting
Little Chicks have been learning numbers. Little Chicks were asked to find a number on the mat and hang it on the Christmas line. Each little Chick took a turn at identifying a number. Once all numbers were on the line we had to place in correct number order.

The letter of the week is B we looked at objects beginning with B and sang the letter B song.

Today we have been practising our catching skills in the sunshine.

Outdoor fun in the rain
Even on a wild and wet day the Ducklings had lots of fun - splashing and wading through the puddles, jumping over the puddles, mixing different coloured paints in the puddles, jumping along the letters to read words and investigating which objects float or sink in the flood!
