Carleton Green had a visit from the Elves they read a letter from Santa. The Elves explained that their was a special Elf hiding in school and each day the children had to seek and find what mischief the Elf was getting upto……

Santa’s Grotto
Little Chicks have been busy in the Santa’s Grotto.
Little Chicks play the game Elf under the rug. One Little chick hides under the rug and another has to guess whom is under the rug.
Little Chicks are extremely excited to see Santa.

Christmas Party
The Ducklings and Little Chicks had a fabulous time at their Christmas party. They played pass the parcel with forfeits, musical statues, musical bumps and loved the dancing competition. They each had a lovely treat baked by the school kitchen. A lovely way to end our first term at school.

The Ducklings have been busy dressing up and acting out the story of the first Christmas using the story language that they are so familiar with.

The Ducklings are loving reading and retelling the Nativity stories that we have in our reading area. They have also been constructing the stable in Bethlehem in the reading area and acting out the story of the first Christmas together.

It's Party Time!

The Ducklings had a great time today - making party hats, dancing, singing, playing games and the best bit of all eating Christmas biscuits and drinking hot chocolate! Yummy! Even the cheeky elf had his sparkly suit on today especially for the party.

This week sees us doing lots of fun activities and learning all about Christmas - making play dough mince pies, decorating party hats, cutting, sticking and writing toys in stockings, acting out the nativity story and writing lists and letters to Father Christmas to name just a few.
