Making (and eating!) apple crumble
As part of our Harvest topic, the children have loved the task of making apple crumble this week. They have washed, peeled and chopped the apples, combined the ingredients for the crumble topping and baked it. Not to mention the best part... eating it!

Creating our own patterns
In Maths this week the children are learning all about repeating patterns. We are looking at a 'unit' of a pattern and then continuing that unit. The children will also be noticing errors in patterns and identifying patterns all around us.

Learning to hop
In P.E this week we have been practising our hopping skills in a range of ways. Each station is set up to enhance a particular skill and our hopping is already improving, as is our skill of jumping for distance.

Musical Statues in Phonics
We apply what we know in Phonics in many different ways and this week we have loved playing musical statues. When the music stops, the teacher calls out a phoneme for the children to find. Why don't you have a try at home?

Our sense of taste
This week we have been exploring our sense of taste through trying different foods. We have explored salty, sweet, spicy, bitter and sour foods and discussed our preferences. Some foods made our taste buds 'calm' and some made them 'tingly'!

Mindfulness Stories

Musical Statues in Phonics
