Trying on the Treasure
The Ducklings have loved trying on all of the pirate treasure this week! Pirate Dan explained to them how some pirates used to wear lots of luxurious clothes and precious jewellery so that other sailors would think that they were wealthy folk and not pirates at all.

Spelling CCVC words
The Ducklings have been looking at how to segment and spell words that have two consonants at the start. The trickiest part is the second letter. Mrs Catterall kept making silly mistakes and the Ducklings helped to correct the spellings!!

Plastic Pollution Talk
We were very lucky to have a visit from Mrs Haigh today. She works for the Environment Agency and she told us all about her job looking after the rivers and seas. She told us about the only things that should be flushed down the toilet - the three P's. I am sure that the children will remember…
