We have been sorting toys according to the materials that they are made from. We are really good at identifying the names of different materials now. We can say why these materials are good for their use and we have found that the material that most of our toys are made from is plastic.

Making Bird Feeders

We have been helping the birds in our garden to survive the winter by making bird feeders for them. We have used all the fir cones that we collected in autumn.

Shopping in the toy shop
The Ducklings have enjoyed buying toys in the toy shop. They have been adding to find the total cost of two toys altogether.

Toy shop role play
In our toy shop role play area we have been looking at the ages on the toy packaging to see if they are suitable for our age or not! It also helps us with our number recognition.

Ducklings meet Father Christmas
We had a lovely time today, taking our lists and letters to Father Christmas. He thought our writing was amazing! I think we are all on his 'good' list!

Best dressed boy and girl
The children all looked amazing at their Christmas party today. It was very difficult to pick a best dressed boy and girl from each class! We had a fabulous time and Ollie said,"It was the best party he had ever been too!"
