Tuesday's Home Learning

Today's Home Learning
Today some Little Chicks have been building with 3D shapes, naming 3D shapes and copying structures.
Some have been finding and colouring words which start with the letter or sound 'a'.

Sewing
This week we are looking at old and new objects. Mrs Stock showed us her sewing machine which belonged to her grandmother. We then all made a little pocket with the help of Mrs Stock. We had to turn the handle to make the needle go up and down and move the fabric along.

Making Lanterns
This week we are learning about Diwali the Hindu and Sikh festival of light. The children practised their cutting skills to make a lantern as part of the celebration. One or two needed a little support in holding the scissors but I was very impressed with their cutting skills!! Well done Little…

What's under our feet?
On Friday afternoon we went out on the school field and dug up a patch of grass to see what was living underneath it. This was part of a national survey and something we will repeat at different times of the year.

Exploring colour
