Using our sense of touch
This week we are using our sense of touch and finding the words to describe how things feel. This morning we were feeling the texture of an avocado, lemon, cauliflower, the leaf of the cauliflower, an apple and a kiwi. The children used words such as: bumpy, hard, soft, smooth, squidgy, spikey, fluffy, bendy, cold, prickly, sticky, squishy and rough.
You could have a texture hunt around your home and see how many different textures you can find. Send a picture of all the textures you find.
