In Mathematics this week we have been thinking about one more and one less. We have used the rhyme 'Ten Green Bottles' to think about place value and finding one more or less than a given number.

Remembrance Poppies

Mud kitchen fun
This week the children have been learning in the mud kitchen, making food from our story 'The Little Red Hen'. Today the children were baking bread and sharing it using different containers.

Rosie the caterpillar
We were surprised to find a caterpillar had joined us for reading this morning. The children loved making observations about colour, shape, whether it has feet or legs (or both!) and looking at how it moves. Lots of wonder and fascination!

Autumn Maths
This week we are matching numbers to quantities in Maths, through our 'Autumn' theme. The children have been practising how to count carefully, using their finger to point as they say a number before moving on to the next.
