Our Ducklings have been getting used to accessing outdoor learning with new friends this week with lots of building, water and sand play and physical activities.

Staying Sun Safe
Today we have been discussing all of the ways we can stay safe in the sun. We have talked about sun creams, wearing hats, sunglasses and t shirts, and the importance of drinking water.

Learning French with Kath

Building houses
This week in Literacy we have been reading the story 'Mrs Rainbow'. Outside we have been building houses that are dull and grey, just like the ones in the story.

Solving addition problems
In Maths this week we have been solving addition problems in lots of different ways. The children have been super at listening to a problem, thinking about the numbers and recording. They have also been making their own addition problems!

A Sea Shanty by Year 3/4
We had a treat this week when a child from Year 3 wrote a 'Carleton Green' sea shanty to perform to our budding pirates. The song was performed with backing vocals and dancers! Well done to Jac who had written, practiced and performed the shanty. The children loved it!

Pirate Day Spectaculaaarrggghhhhh!
Well, what an amazing day we had today with our resident Duckling pirates! Captain DanTastic had the children bursting with excitement with his facts, tales and pirate resources.
Our Ducklings made amazing pirates and have had a great time.
