Right Start Road Safety
Today we have talked about the importance of using our ears to listen out for traffic as we can't always see it coming when there is a bend in the road or lots of parked cars. We closed our eyes and tried to listen to which direction the traffic was coming from.

Creating vehicles on the iPads
We have been using 'Doodle Buddy' on the iPads to make our very own buses or trains. The children have been experimenting with drawing tools, stamps, stencils and different backgrounds.

Fire Engine Visit
Today the Ducklings enjoyed a visit from the Fire Brigade with their fire engine. They enjoyed looking at all the different equipment, sitting in the engine and squirting the hose!

A visit from the fire engine
We had such an exciting and amazing experience when the fire engine came to visit EYFS. The children loved learning about the engine, sitting in the back and front of the engine and using the fire hose. Myles described the experience as being 'the best day of my life'.

Problem Solving
The Ducklings were working cooperatively together to help solve the problem of helping the bus to travel across the river. They had to discuss their course of action, the materials that they would need and how they would carry out their plan.

Visit from a train driver

Right Start Road Safety
Today we have been continuing with our road safety. We have talked about safe places to play and have looked at how driveways can be dangerous as they cross our pavements. We practised crossing the school driveway safely.

A visit from a train driver
Today we had the pleasure of Abigail's uncle teaching us all about his job as a driver on Northern Rail. The children enjoyed learning about signals, different types of sins and how a train works.
