On the 11th November at 11 am we joined in with the 2 minutes silence. Throughout the day we painted poppies and made play dough poppies. Ask the children to tell you why there are purple as well as red poppies.

Little Chicks made poppies to put on the outside of school and made poppies to wear for Remembrance Day.
Little Chicks sat for the two minute silence to respect all those in the war.

On the 11th November at 11 am we joined the rest of the school outside for a 2 minute silence. Earlier on, we found out about why people do this and why we wear poppies at this time of year. The Ducklings were extremely sensible and respectful.

Little Chicks commemorated Remembrance Day. They learnt about the soldiers, service men, service women and animals who died in the line of duty since the end of the First World war.
They learned why we wear Poppies and stood in silence at 11am to show respect.
