Decorating Easter eggs

Washing our bikes in the sun!
Our bikes were so mucky after being ridden through the winter months in all weathers! We decided to take advantage of the gorgeous spring weather and set up our very own bike wash. We used our gross motor skills to get them gleaming and sparkling like new!

Celebrating Holi
We had a lovely morning celebrating the Hindu festival Holi. It is when Hindus say goodbye to winter and welcome spring. We listened to stories of how families celebrate by throwing coloured powder over each other!! We were very lucky to have a visitor who showed us how to make rangoli patterns…

Ordering the length of objects
Some children were able to order planks from the builders' shed according to their length. They could say which was the shortest and longest.

Making pet homes
The children have been making homes for pets at the workshop table. The children have worked together as a group talking about their ideas and listening to the ideas of others. Some have made a kennel, a hamster cage and an aquarium! Am sure there will be more to come!

Celebrating Chinese New Year
The children have loved pretending in our Chinese restaurant role play area, eating noodles at the snack table, making Chinese lanterns, dragon dancing, painting Chinese symbols and using chopsticks! It was a lovely end to the half term. Thank you to all of the parents and carers who were able to…

Our Naughty Bus Trip

Fine Motor Skills
We have had great fun at the snack table using tools carefully to practise our cutting, chopping, slicing, folding and spreading skills! We made delicious healthy sandwiches! They were yummy!
