Finding out about snails

The children were fascinated by some snails we brought in. They wanted to read about them and find out more facts. They also wanted to find out which vegetables from our snack table they would like to eat! They loved the celery leaves!

Phonics with Little Chicks

The Little Chicks joined us today and we showed them what we do when we sing our THRASS songs during Phonics Time. They enjoyed themselves and we were super role models for the children who will be Ducklings very soon!

The children decided to create giant caterpillars after reading the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. They used all sorts of equipment from the sheds to help them! Very creative!

We have been using our funky fingers to thread pasta shapes on to laces, making lovely caterpillars. We have counted forwards and backwards how many pasta shapes we used. We also tried using different pasta shapes to make a repeating patterns.
