As part of our learning about the Arctic the children watched Sci show kids it taught us about the Arctic. Little Chicks have been asked to ask a question about the Artic to learn to use questions in conversation. 15.1.22

Georgia “Do their noses turn to ice Polar bears?” 

Solomon “Where, when there is snow what happens?

Emmy “What animals are in the Arctic?”

Joakim “What happens when the ice melts?”

Aubrey “What do Penguins do?”

Darcie “How does the Arctic fox try to lay down?”

Miss Taylor “How cold is it in the Arctic North?

Jenson “What happens to the ice?”

Jayden “What do the Polar bears eat?”

Charlie C “Does the Arctic fox eat fish?

Alfie “Does the Artic fox hibernate in the Winter?”

Harley “Is there fishing in the Arctic North?”

Finley “What does the Arctic fox do?”

Charlie “What animals live in the ocean?”

Lyla “How much sunlight do you get in the Arctic?”

Penelope “How thick is the ice?”

 

 

 

 

Little Chicks used the I-pads to research their questions regarding the Artic North. They learnt to use the search engine to type questions and search the internet for answers to their questions.

 

Emmy- Polar bear, Artic foxes, Snowy Owl, Artic Hare, Seal.

Georgia-A Polar bears nose is so powerful it can smell a Seal 20 miles away.

Aubrey- They do everything together eating, swimming, hunting and nest in the Antarctic.

Jenson- Ice melts a rise in sea levels.

Harley- Yes there are 240 fish species, cod mostly.

Alfie- No they hunt rodents.

Charlie- Polar bear, fox, Seal, Whale, Arctic Hare.

Joakim- Water rises, climate changing.

Solomon- Add to rising sea levels.

Finley- Arctic fox has a bushy tail like a blanket.

Miss Taylor- It is -40 in the Winter.
