World Mental Health Awareness Day
Today we talked about how we keep our bodies healthy physically, but also mentally too. The children came up with some lovely ideas such as making somebody laugh, giving them a smile or a hug and asking a new friend to play with them.
We looked at some basic yoga to help with relaxation and encouraging positive thoughts. We played a 'Pass the hug' game and the 'Yes, you can!' Game. For some of us it was quite a challenge to stay still, close our eyes and not talk, even for only a few minutes!!
