Owls Family Portraits
29 September 2016
On Monday in our art lesson, we were drawing our family portraits using a photograph to help us.
Before we starting drawing, we discussed our photograpgh and wrote a little bit about it. WHO WAS IN YOUR PICTURE? WHERE WAS IT TAKEN? WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN YOUR PICTURE? WHEN WAS IT TAKEN?
We then looked at how to draw more than one face and body in a portrait and used the pencil to help us measure the distance from our photograpghs. To shade black and white images we used our shading techniques or we coloured the same way with coloured pencils for coloured images. We had relaxing and lovely chilled music playing whilst we were drawing. Once we had finished our drawings, we were able to have a walk around the classroom and write in different sketch books of what we liked about each others family potraits.
