Guinea Pigs
We took the guinea pigs on the field to let them have a run around! They enjoyed eating the dandelion leaves that we picked for them.
Royal Wedding Celebration 2018
On Friday 18th May 2018, the whole school came out in red, white and blue to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In Herons, we made flags to wave and bunting for the playground. Through-out the week we found out about the Royal Family tree and London tourists attractions. On Friday afternoon we had a street-party with British picnic food (on Union Jack plates) and wore crowns. We also played traditional British games including skipping, clapping games, races and hop-scotch. In small groups we also had to guess which teacher had which song at their wedding or are going to have. We had a fabulous day!
Kicking
Herons have now finished their unit on Kicking. They now know lots of new skills and techniques.
Tasting Tropical Fruits
The Ducklings have been enjoying tasting lots of unusual fruits during snack time this week! They have been able to say what they liked or disliked about the different fruits. Thank you to all of the parents/carers for sending in lots of different fruits for us to try.
Mini-Beast Hunt
In science this week, Herons were learning about mini beasts and their habitats. We went on a hunt to see what we could find.
