*Owls Birdwatching

The children in Owls have absolutely loved the bird watching activities this week. We have explored our school grounds for the different species of birds and I think we were all quite surprised at what we found. The children have been so interested in this that we have decided to continue this activity for homework. This week, they will get the opportunity to take the bird watching sheets home with them and continue searching for different species of birds in their own gardens or local parks. I am looking forward to finding out which birds we can spot.

*Owls develop communication skills during team building games.

The children in Owls class worked with Jamie from Fleetwood Town to develop their communication and team building skills. One group had to navigate their way across a 'swomp' only standing in hoops and making sure they got their team across safely. The other team were split in to two teams and competed against each other in defending and invading each others bases. All of the children worked extremely well and it was wonderful to see children taking a leadership role and communicating well with their team. Well done Owls.

Exploring the frost

We all wrapped up warm and went out to explore the frosty field outside today. The children took iPads with them and took most of the photographs! After exploring outside we warmed up again with a lovely drink of hot chocolate.
