Cooking like a Viking!
Hawks cooked like a Viking last week. They made Mor Monsen Kake, Baked Apples and a Honey, Pear and Apple Drink.

The Ducklings had a lovely day visiting Clitheroe castle as a fantastic finish to our Once Upon A Time topic.
A visit from Hodgson
Hawks had a fantastic science lesson today, taught by three year 10 Hodgson students. They taught Hawks all about the heart. The children were inspired and enthusiastic about this interactive and hands-on experience they had.The children now know the main parts of the human circulatory system and understand the importance and functions of the heart.
Life as a Titanic passenger
The children in Hawks have been learning all about the disaster of the Titanic this half term. This week they acted as a 1st, 2nd or 3rd class passenger. They went to the dining room and ate their meals which they had prepared earlier in the day whilst watching Titanic documentaries and listened to music from 1912.
Hawks...Ready, Steady, Cook!
Children in Hawks this week had a cooking lesson in the Wing. They have been learning about healthy lifestyles and balanced diets. The children have also been learning about life as a Titanic passenger and have created different menus. The children worked in teams to create two breakfast options; pancakes with yoghurt or syrup and a fruit platter, two lunch options; Bruschetta and a Greek salad, a dinner option of tomato and basil pasta followed by scones with jam and butter. YUM YUM!!
Wyre and Fylde Dance Competition 2019
CG dance club took part in the Wyre and Fylde Dance Competition on Monday night. The children performed at the famous, Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Not only did they dance a stunning performance within the theme of 'Diversity and Difference' but they were at credit to our school. They embraced every opportunity and experience and even watched World Championship Dancers. The children are very excited about the Celebration of Music which takes place on 18th March at the Winter Gardens. The theme is 'Music Through The Ages.' Well done dancers, you always make us so proud!
Knights and Princesses Day
We have had so much fun today! We have come dressed up in amazing costumes, tried some medieval dancing, been to knight school, had a banquet and even had a jousting tournament. The costumes and props you all provided were amazing, so thank you very much!

The Ducklings have been reading a recipe and following the instructions to make cupcakes for our Knights and Princesses banquet.
