The Viking Day
This week we had the pleasure of meeting a real Viking Warrior! He came in to school to meet all of our Vikings in Year 5 and 6. We had a spectacular day and learnt an abundance of amazing Viking facts and took a step back in time to experience how Vikings would have conducted themselves in battle, we learnt about Viking Gods and even took part in a 'real life' Viking funeral. The day was so informative from start to finish and has certainly enhanced our knowledge of Vikings.
Falcons Percussion Extravaganza!!
The children in Falcons thoroughly enjoyed their music lesson this week. They were able to identify different percussion instruments and made beautiful rhythmic music.
Falcons' Relaxation in support of Mental Health Awareness Day
In Falcons we discussed different ways to relax and unwind. In PE we took a few minutes to practise mindfulness yoga relaxation techniques.
Grandparents' Afternoon
A huge thank you to all of the grandparents who came to spend the afternoon learning and playing with their grandchildren in Ducklings and Little Chicks. The children were so proud to show you around their new classrooms and we hope that you enjoyed yourselves too. They loved singing and signing the Grandparents song for you too.
