Today we were very impressed by the investigation skills in Herons!
We had fun testing different objects to see if they could bend, twist, stretch or squeeze.
We definitely have some scientists in our class!

Today we thought about how solid objects can be changed when we squash, bend, twist and stretch them.
We found lots of objects! My favourite was the skipping rope that could be stretched and twisted!

On Monday 19th November from 3.45-4.15, we will be hosting a phonics workshop in Robins class.
This is an opportunity to learn more about the Phonics Screening Test, how we approach it in school and how you can help at home.

I am a very proud teacher this week!
Herons have been working their socks off! We are loving our new topic "Fire Fire" and have been working extremely hard with multiplication this week.
Well done everyone and enjoy the weekend.

This afternoon a great fire spread through Pudding Lane!
In Herons we tried to use buckets of water to put out the fire, just like they did in 1666. We decided that the fire was too strong and could spread too quickly - we couldn't get the water from the river in time.

We have had a really exciting day in Herons today!
We were given the challenge of making up brand new games for the playground.
First we practised lots of different playground games with our friends. We read instructions and took turns to play games. After that, we teamed up in groups of 3…
