Making and eating pancakes
Today is Shrove Tuesday, which is better known as pancake day. In Little Chicks this morning we have discovered that some Christian’s give up rich tasty foods such as butter, eggs, sugar and fat for Lent, so they use them all up by making pancakes, the day before Lent starts on Ash Wednesday.
The children also helped to make the batter for our pancakes, weighing out the flour, adding an egg and the milk and then whisking it altogether. Mrs Stock then cooked the pancakes and the children chose , orange, lemon, banana or raisins as a topping.

The children then ordered the making of the pancakes.
