Arctic Presentation Mr Redman
Little Chicks and Ducklings were introduced to Mr Redman whom has spent 15 years in the Arctic in Norway.
Arctic is the North Pole
Antartica is the South Pole
In Winter it is dark all day/night and in Summer light all day/night.
What do you wear in the Arctic thick socks, warm jacket, made of goose feather, goggles, torch and hat. goggles are to protect from snow blindness.
If you threw a cup of boiling water into the air it would immediately freeze the temperture can get to as low as -35.
What animals are found in the Arctic ?
Polar bears, Seals, Walrus, Arctis fox, Reindeer.
Little Chicks and Ducklings feel the Reindeer fur.
The Sami are the only people allowed to keep the Reindeer.
Sami people use a special knife to skin fish and other animals and have a special flint to light fires.
Food eaten in Arctic consist of fish, Reindeer and flatbread. Mrs Lees tried the flatbread and My Kenyon the Reindeer meat.
There was a sudden snowstorm in the room.
