A Plastic Problem
The Ducklings and Little Chicks were welcomed back to school with a surprise waiting for them!
The world's sea creatures have asked for our help and left them a letter. There is a real problem with plastic waste getting into the oceans and seas and harming the marine creatures. They left us lots of the things that can be found washed up on our beaches that can harm them. The children were very knowledgeable and were very excited to offer their help.
We also read a book called, 'Somebody swallowed Stanley!' It is all about a plastic bag that different creatures in the sea think is a jelly fish.
We are going to read lots of other stories this week about the plastic pollution in the sea and think about the different ways that we can help the sea creatures.
