Diwali homework
16 October 2020
Doves have been learning all about the Diwali festival with Mrs Oddy this half term.
They loved decorating the school with colourful rangoli patterns. Have a look at our photos!
Over half term you have a choice of Diwali activities to choose from (you only need to complete one but you can do more if you would like to!)
You can choose one of these and get creative!
- Colour or paint a rangoli pattern (you can print one off the internet or design your own)
- Find a recipe for Diwali sweets and try making them
- Make a salt dough Diva lamp (you can find salt dough recipes online or you use playdough)
- Create an outdoor rangoli pattern - you could use leaves and stones, chalk, birdseed or anything natural you can think of!
- Write and/ or illustrate an explanation of why and how Hindus celebrate Diwali
Let me know in the comments which activity you have chosen and how it went. You can also email me a photograph of what you have created and I will add them to the blog after half term.
I hope you are having a lovely break!
