Hand washing hygiene

The ducklings have been learning all about how germs spread and how important it is to keep our hands nice and clean. We carried out an investigation with some pretend germs(paint and glitter!) to see how quickly and easily germs spread. The children touched a friend's hand on passed on the germs! Even the children at the end of the row still had a few germs passed on to them! We then sang a song and found out how to wash our hands thoroughly, remembering to wash our Patty Palms, Freddie Fingers and Tommy Thumbs really well. We wash our hands for as long as it takes to sing the happy birthday twice through!
