Image of Outdoor Art

One way to develop our "Funky Fingers" in a fun way outdoors is through artwork. we used all the materials we collected on our Autumn welly walk to create marks on our cornflour dough mix. We created patterns with sticks, acorns, pine cones, leaves and conkers. When they've dried we will be able to paint them and use them as decoration.

The clay is easy to make with cornflour and PVA glue; sieve the cornflour into a bowl ( a cup full makes a good amount ) then stir in PVA glue until it forms a soft and pliable dough, roll into little balls and make discs (you can use pastry cutters to make different shapes) and then use natural objects to make patterns in the dough, leave to dry overnight and then either leave plain or paint a colour of your choice.

Give it a go over half term and see us having a go here
