Language Day
Today was modern language day. As someone in our class is Bulgarian, we focused on that language. We asked Ivaylo to translate some common words and phrases for us. We gained a lot of knowledge and had a great time picking up new vocabulary. They will remain our board so we can keep practising…

Maths 6.2.23
In maths, we looked at doubling and halving. The children loved this practical input activity, which really helped them to grasp their understanding of what 'double' and 'half' actually means, while relating it to what they already knew about their 2 times tables.

Music 31.1.23
In music we listened to the song 'I wanna play in the band' and copied the actions, finding the pulse. We then created our own rhythms, copying them back to each other.

Maths 24.1.23
In maths we have moved on to multiplication. Yesterday, we took the opportunity to go outside and group objects into equal groups. We also used the chalk to created equal groups and write stem sentences for them.

PSHE 23.1.23
In PSHE we discussed what we should do in certain situations to keep ourselves safe. We read a story and asked "What should Harold say" and the children went to the answer they thought was correct: "I'll ask, I'll tell, yes or no".

Yoga
Today, we had a special visitor who came in and taught us some yoga positions. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt to control their breathing.

Maths 11.1.2023
In maths, we have been looking at money. We have looked at the different value of coins, made different amounts and compared amounts. Next week we will be moving on to finding change.

PE 11.1.2023
In PE we have been learning some gymnastic skills. We have practised our egg rolls, pencil rolls, tuck jumps and travelling in different ways. Uploaded is a photo of their caterpillar travel.

Science 2023
In science we classified animals according to their groups. The children did this independently first, organising them according to colour, size, habitat etc. We then discussed the different animal groups and organised the animals again. The children loved doing this activity…

A Special Visit from the Elf
Today, we all had a very special visitor...an Elf was hiding in our school!!
