Home Learning 1.2.21
Hi everyone,
I have put this weeks home learning on the blog as I am having problems loading it on the Home Learning page.
Sorry for the delay.
1st February 2021
Hi,
We saw some super pictures of aliens and patterns on pants last week!
This week we are going to be looking at night and day. Keep sending us your pictures.

Red Challenge:
You will need a large piece of paper. Ask your adult to fold it in half so there is s crease down the middle. On one side, using a white wax crayon draw a moon and some stars. Using watery black paint, paint over the moon and stars. To create the night sky. What happened when you painted over the moon and stars?
Now on the other side of the paper using a yellow wax crayon draw a sun. This time use a watery blue paint to paint over the sun and create a day time sky.
Yellow Challenge
Cut out, or look at these pictures. Can you sort them as to things you do in the daytime and things you do in the evening or night-time?
Is there anything that you do in the day and at night?
Pink Challenge
Watch and listen to the story The Tale of Two Feathers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsIku5O-3YY
Why do the birds not meet normally? Animals that are awake during the night are called nocturnal animals. Do you know of any other animals or birds which are nocturnal? Maybe an adult could help you type nocturnal animals into google and see which are nocturnal.
Green Challenge
Draw a picture of your favourite nocturnal animal or bird. Why have you chosen this animal or bird? What do you know about it? What can you find out about it on google?
Orange Challenge
Can you find Sam? Watch ‘Where is Sam?’ on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjFZbns1ZR0 and see if you can use your words to say where Sam is?
Purple Challenge
Our letter of the week is ‘h’, sing along to the Jolly Phonics ‘h’ song on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RxDHF-ascU
Find objects around your home which start with ‘h’.
Words which start with the same letter is called alliteration.
Play Super Smoothie on Phonics Play. Can you find all the things that begin with the given sound?
Blue Challenge
If it’s fine how about getting out and doing some climbing on play equipment at the park or in the garden if you are lucky enough to have a climbing frame.
Can you pull yourself up on to play equipment? Can you climb up steps or a ladder using alternate legs? When you jump off an object do you land safely, bending your knees as you land?
After all that exercise how does your body feel? Have you noticed any changes in your body? If so what?
Please send us pictures of you climbing and pulling yourself up so that I can credit your learning. I bet you are all really good at climbing!
We hope you all have a super week and we will look forward to seeing your photos.
