Our First Day Back!

Today was our first day back and the children have been fantastic. Things have been a little different as we can't wander from one activity to another.

When we came into Little Chicks we put our drink and snack into our bubble tray, hung up our coat and bag and then washed our hands before finding our chick at an activity. 

After the register we talked about keeping our distance, staying at a given activity, washing our hands, putting tissues in the bin and keeping our hands away from our faces.

We heard the story 'What the Ladybird Heard' and after snack we went out to look for some ladybirds. We didn't find any but we saw woodlouse, ants and worms.

We then thought about what we know or think we know about ladybirds.

 After lunch we had a little rest and watched Peppa Pig.

We then found a given number on our number lines and marked it with an orange peg. We then had to find the number that was one more and place the green peg on it. Some of us found it hard to put the pegs on our number lines, but we were very good at finding one more!

After our second snack of the day we went back outside. We played popping bubbles, some of us made leaf necklaces, we did some gardening and some just enjoyed running around. 

When we came in we got our things ready for home, watched the story 'What the Ladybird Heard' and sang some rhymes. 

We all had a good day.
