Ducklings!! We need your help!!
Hello Ducklings and Parents,
We need your help!!
Are you a confident speaker? Would you like to be a film star? How would you like to help our new Ducklings for next year?
This is how you can help:
Sadly, our new Ducklings are unable to visit school at present and have the induction experiences that you were all able to have last year, so we wanted to make a video all about how they can prepare themselves for big school.
Who better to tell them, than you, our amazing Ducklings, who know all about it!
We would like you to give them a ‘Top Tip’ for starting school. This can be something that they need to practise or be able to do ready for starting school. We would like you to draw a picture and write a simple caption or sentence explaining your top tip (parents can help!) and then make a short video of you explaining the top tip.
When we have all the videos sent to us, we will (with the help of Mr Boyd!!!) be able to compile one whole video of all the top tips together and publish it on our school website for the new ducklings and their parents to see.
We will need to find out just how many children (and parents!) would be up for helping us with this task and then we can allocate each of you a specific ‘top tip’ to write, draw and talk about, so that we cover everything, without replication.
Here is a similar video which gave us the idea for you to watch and help you to decide! It is absolutely gorgeous and rather than just re-post this one, we thought it would be amazing if our very own Ducklings could do one of their own! Yours will probably be even better!!

Please could you have a chat at home and decide whether or not you would like to take part and if you could email Mrs Catterall at m.catterall@carletongreen.lancs.sch.uk by Friday 5th June to let us know if you are willing and then we can make further plans.
We hope that you will be able to help us to carry out this fantastic challenge!
Many thanks,
The EYFS team
