A busy week in Kestrels. 

This week we have been learning all about light and different sources of light. We have been looking if light sources are natural or man made and the difference between them. We have begun to look at why and how shadows might be made, we will explore this further next week. 

We have been looking at different units of measure for length and converting between mm, cm m and km. 

In our writing lessons we have been exploring how we can make our descriptions of our characters so much more exciting for the reader. We have designed our own characters and written a detailed description of them. Next week we will think about how we could describe the setting to our own story. 

We have also continued to talk about Role Models in our PSHE lessons with Mrs Jones. 

Well done to Luke, our Star of the Week this week for always having a positive attitude, being very hard working and being a polite and loyal friend to all.

I enjoyed learning about light sources and how shadows are made. I extremely liked when I wrote my plan for my story and when I did the settings see,hear,smell and touch. I liked my kestrels fact file .

My favourite thing was writing our character description because it was fun that we got to choose what story we could write. I chose to set my story on a cosy soft beach. The characters lived in a cabin along the beach. ????

I enjoyed learning about role models with Mrs Jones this week. My role model is David Attenborough because he cares for animals and the environment. I think we could all do more to help save our planet. I also enjoyed learning about light and how it reflects.
