Finding out about Islam

This week we have been learning about how wearing a uniform shows that you belong. The children have brought in special clothes that they wear, such as Rainbow uniforms and football kits. We have talked about how wearing a hijab shows that you are a Muslim. The Ducklings were very lucky to have a visitor to come and tell us all about the hijab. She showed us how to put it on and explained why she wears it. We have also read a story called 'The swirling, whirling hijab.'
