The Environment Club's Trip to Brockholes in Preston
19 May 2016
The Environment Club had a trip to Brockholes, it was such a fantastic day. When we arrived in Preston, the sun was shining and we met up with children from other schools; St John's and Anchorsholme. We began by meeting in the hall, then set off on our adventure. We were separated in to two teams and we put face-paint on to mark our 'tribes' we were the Pink and Green team versus the Orange and Black team.
Each team had to build and maintain a camp fire and build dens out of sticks found in the woodland. Not only did they have this task to do, but while they were busy building their camp village, each member of their team had to complete a 'Bush Tucker Trial' just like on I'am a Celebrity. These trials included the marshmellow trial (fitted as many in to your mouth and saying chubby bunny), the baked beans and squashed tomato trial and many more. Each team could win stars for the trials they successfully completed as well as having the best fire and camp village. It was a very close competition, with the Pink and Green team only just winning with eight stars. Well done everyone, it was a fantastic day.
