Parrots Week 6

The children in Parrots have been Scientists this week; it was great fun to test a range of materials and decide what properties they had.

In Maths we have enjoyed learning all about addition and subtraction; we have been practising using a number line and some children have had a go at column subtraction and addition. This can be tricky so we will continue to practice next week as well! We have to make sure we count when we jump on our number line like a frog!

We have been reciting poems about Halloween this week and it has been lots of fun; the children have looked at the style of poems, the rhyming words we have used and they can almost recite it off by heart!

We have been looking at the features of diaries and we have learnt so much. Next week we will have a go at writing a diary in the eyes of VLAD (linking to our Great Fire of London story a few weeks ago!)

We are always very busy in Parrots and we hope you enjoy seeing what we have been getting up to.

Our star of the week was Bea; for working so hard and giving 110% in her work, pushing herself and gaining lots of confidence. Well done!
