Little Chicks have been learning the initial sound of words. They used the program Super Smoothie phonics. They had to find the pictures that begin with same initial letter that is in the blender. Eg in the blender was a ring, they had to find pictures that begin with R and place in the blender.

Little Chicks are getting skilled at learning Alliteration.

 

Throughout the week Little Chicks have took turns at circle time to select a picture cue card and then find the initial letter of the that picture.

We sang the rhyme

Bertha the bus,

Is going to the zoo,

Who does she see,

As she passes through?

Little Chicks then select a picture and find the corresponding initial letter to the picture.

 

 

Over the weeks we have given Little Chicks their own name Alliteration you may have heard them saying their Alliteration name.
