Outdoor Learning Day
7 November 2019
What a fantastic day we have had (despite the weather!)
We started off the rainy day with an Autumn walk, with the children spotting different signs that Autumn is here and winter is nearing.
We then created some Autumn poems using nouns and adjectives to describe the different features of Autumn.
During the afternoon we made some patterned stones using paint and cotton buds, which we plan to hide in the garden next week, for other children to find.
In Maths we made some 2D shapes outside with natural materials such as twigs and leaves. We also made some addition and subtraction sums with the resources, the children really enjoyed this and got stuck in!
Every child received a certificate for being part of Outdoor classroom day today and we hope they enjoyed it, even in the rain!
