This week in Kestrels
10 May 2019
This week in Kestrels we have had so much fun! We all really enjoyed our wow starter day on Tuesday. Our new topic for summer is healthy humans and we had an amazing day tasting fruit and vegetables, sketching fruit, circuit training and taking part in an OAA skeleton activity.
This week in science we have set-up an experiment to show how water transportation in plants takes place. We put food colouring and water in a glass jar, put a white rose and a stick of celery in the jar and then we waited… It was fascinating to see our white rose change to blue so quickly!
We have all also enjoyed learning about Sikhism and the 5K’s. They wear the 5K’s like we wear a uniform. On Wednesday we used the laptops to write a recount of our wow starter day using word processing software. We are all very excited to do this again as we learnt so much.
In maths we have been learning all about time. We all really enjoyed getting outside and timing our running with the stopwatches. Noah, Jack and Charlotte were the fastest but we all gave it a really good try!
We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
