Internet safety

Today, we have talked about internet safety and discussed the many ways we can keep ourselves online. 

We began by discussing how wonderful the internet is and how we can use it for all sorts of marvelous things; research, shopping, gaming, communicating with overseas friends, watching video clip, watching tv - to name a few.   

All the children have extra homework tonight!  Check their internet safety at home; firewalls, parent controls, kids you tube and privacy settings on their technology. 

We have discussed PEGI and film ratings and how the ages are there to keep us safe from inappropriate content. 

We talked about what consent means and how to only communicate online with people we know in real life. 

We agreed that if we saw or heard something online that was inappropriate for us we would tell our parents.
