Hello Doves!

Firstly, I hope you are all enjoying the extra couple of days of the Summer holiday and using them wisely to ensure you are refreshed and ready for an exciting new year at school.   

Miss Hardman and I can’t wait to see you all on Thursday and hear all about your recent adventures and hopes for this year. We have been very busy getting our classroom ready and organising some exciting learning opportunities.

Reading will be a big focus this year and we have a reading area in our classroom where we are hoping to display and read some of your book recommendations from your summer homework.

Our new topic for this coming half term will be 'Sparks Might Fly'. In preparation for this, over the next couple of days I would like you to have a look around your home and make a list of everything you can spot the uses electricity. Please bring your list in so we can explore all the different thing we know that use electricity during our lessons on Thursday and Friday. 

Our P.E lessons will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays so please ensure you bring your kit back on the first day as we will be doing PE on Thursday  (no earrings please).
